Welcome everyone to my Facebook Group 2023.

Originally this was a blog created in 2013 by Steve Scott to assist the casual Striper angler. To learn more about Striper fishing join a club. There are two Striper clubs on Lake lanier. The Lanier Striper Club meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month meeting at the VFW on highway 9 in Cumming, Georgia and the Oakwood Striper Club meeting on the 2nd Monday of each month in Oakwood, Georgia.

The concept of Team Lanier was a special club whose members did not meet anywhere except on Saturdays at no particular location on Lake Lanier but sharing detailed information about where the Stripers were currently being caught. The shared information was technique, method and bait.

In the beginning Team Lanier was a group of anglers who set out on various trips to lakes other than Lanier meeting for breakfast at Rabbittown then heading out to North Georgia following each other and converging at a specific destination sharing whatever info that was needed to catch fish successfully. Some of those destinations were the Tugaloo river for the Hybrid run from March 15th to April 15th, Lake Burton for lake trout and yellow perch, and Lake Rabun for Spotted Bass. By traveling in these groups everyone had safe passage being assisted by all when situations occurred like flat tires, keys being locked in truck while running, getting lost, trailer wheel bearing problems as well ad other unforeseeable situations.
